DRAFT — for legal review before publishing

Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Samskriti platform, including the Samskriti website and the Samskriti · Gita mobile app (together, the "Service"), operated by OGM World Wide LLC. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. This is a draft — have it reviewed by qualified counsel before publishing.

1. The Service

Samskriti · Gita provides the text of the Bhagavad Gita (Sanskrit, transliteration, Hindi, and English), AI-assisted explanations and guidance, audio recitation, quizzes, and community study features. The Service is free to use, including in guest mode without an account. We may introduce paid plans with additional features in the future; if we do, these Terms will be updated to describe them.

2. Accounts

You may use the Service as a guest, or create an account via email/password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and may not impersonate another person.

3. AI features — important limitations

"Ask Krishna," verse explanations, situation-based guidance, and semantic search are generated using AI, grounded in the Bhagavad Gita's verses where possible. They are intended for reflection and educational purposes, are not a substitute for professional medical, legal, financial, or mental-health advice, and do not represent the official position of any religious institution or authority. If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please contact a qualified professional or a crisis helpline in your area — the Service is not equipped to provide emergency support.

We ground AI answers in the Gita's actual verses and instruct the AI not to invent scripture, but AI systems can still make mistakes. Always use your own judgment, and treat AI explanations as a starting point for your own reflection rather than a definitive teaching.

4. Community features

Study groups, discussions, and live calls are meant for respectful, good-faith spiritual study. You agree not to use these features to harass, abuse, or harm others, post unlawful content, or violate others' privacy (including by recording calls without participants' consent, where recording is technically possible). We may review reported content, and may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Content and intellectual property

The Bhagavad Gita's verses are in the public domain. Translations, commentary, app design, and software are owned by OGM World Wide LLC or its licensors and may not be copied or redistributed without permission, except as allowed by applicable law (such as fair use/fair dealing). Notes, bookmarks, and discussion posts you create remain yours; by posting in shared/group areas, you grant other group members the ability to view that content as part of normal use of the feature.

6. Content accuracy — no warranty

The Gita text, transliterations, translations, word meanings, and commentary made available through the Service are compiled from traditional literature, public-domain translations, and other open sources, and portions may be generated or summarized with the assistance of AI. Translation and interpretation of ancient scripture inherently involves judgment calls on which reasonable scholars, schools, and traditions differ, and errors can occur in compiling, digitizing, or generating this content.

OGM World Wide LLC makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, as to the accuracy, completeness, authenticity, or fidelity of any such content to any particular manuscript, lineage, or scholarly standard. You use this content at your own discretion, and OGM World Wide LLC disclaims all liability for any discrepancy, inaccuracy, omission, or error in the Gita text, translations, transliterations, commentary, or AI-generated explanations made available through the Service, or for any decision, action, or belief you base on that content.

7. Guest mode and data

Guest mode works fully without an account. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data for both guest and signed-in use, including what's stored locally on your device versus on our servers.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms, illegal activity, or conduct that harms other users or the Service.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, and — as set out in Section 6 above — we do not warrant the accuracy of the Gita text, translations, commentary, or AI-generated content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, OGM World Wide LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, or from any reliance on its content.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll provide more prominent notice (such as an in-app message).

11. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles, and the state and federal courts located in Denton County, Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. Questions about these Terms: legal@ogmworldwide.com.
